Hobart, being an old colonial city, still has a number of old buildings, many of which are heritage listed. (They can’t be torn down on some developer’s whim.) Linda took a lot of pictures of these building. Here are some:
University of Tasmania Arts Centre
quarantine HQ for inbound seaborne cargo
victual list from colonial days
seafood restaurant in old building
corner tavern
one of many pubs in Australia claiming to be the oldest
a place for seamen in trouble
one of the original Hobart hotels
HQ of best know newspaper in Tasmania
DDouble Decker Bus
This is a statue of Admiral Franklin. The river named after him is more famous now.
The pigeon doesn’t care!
