Strahan - Piners Loft

I have added to this travel blog a little out of order. We actually first went to Strahan before we went to New Norfolk. Strahan is the gateway to world class heritage areas. Linda usually likes to book at least one accommodation per trip that is in the luxury class. This was it. We stayed at the famous Piners Loft. This rather remarkable dwelling was built around large poles of King Billie and Celery Top Pines. It was really a neat place.

There were even signs to our residence from downtown Strahan.

Well, I guess the sign marks the spot.

From the outside it looks like ordinary, spacious accommodation for three.

But look at the inside, eg, the kitchen.

This a worm's eye view of the upstairs from downstairs.

There is a circular hallway on the second story with exits to the bedrooms.

Linda had a nice balcony from her bedroom.

There was also a little area in the hall upstairs where I could do my computing without disturbing anyone.

There was a very nice balcony off the living area downstairs where we sometimes breakfasted and had tea.

I thought the towel rack kept in character with the rest of the house.
