Mole Creek

While Melbourne was having a record heat wave (45 C), things were pretty warm in Northwestern Tassie as well. Linda hit upon a great idea: we should go see some caves in the local area. These caves were near the small township of Mole Creek. There was also a Wildlife Park close to Mole Creek, so we decided to kill two birds with two stones and see them both on this hot day.

It was about a 90 minute drive on windy road to get to Mole Creek.

This looked to be the best (maybe only pub) watering hole in Mole Creek.

So, we decided to eat at the pub. We had the hide of a Tasmanian Tiger (??) hanging on the wall next to our table.

We spent a few minutes at the Visitor Information Centre: very surprisingly, they had very reasonably priced internet access there.
